Made a big genealogy database update yesterday. For the most part, the update is made up of tons of biographical information and source documentation.

Finished enrolling at the University of Phoenix this afternoon. I’ve decided that after 12 years in the Information Technology field it’s time to get my BS degree. It’s a big commitment of time and money and I doubt it will have any financial payoff, but I’d rather get the degree under my belt while I don’t need it then to be limited later because I don’t have a degree.

I released Ged2Csv 2.0 last week. Please see the software pages for details.

I’m releasing Ged2Csv V1.5 today. This latest release contains many improvements in the handling of non-standard tags, standard tags used in non-standard ways, new statistics, and better error logging. I have a big list of statistics/analysis that I would like to add to the program, but I’m undecided whether I should add the analysis to Ged2Csv or move all of that functionality to a separate program.

It seems that someone at my ISP accidently commented out the wrong line in some config file which rendered my site mostly useless for the last week. Not that I’ve had any complaints from anyone.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, I’ve been working till dark every night in the yard and doing various projects around the new house. It’s beginning to feel like home finally. I’ve had a little time to program, but not much. Could it be because I just finished the entire 1 player campaign in Neverwinter Nights? Probably not.
