I completely rewrote the family_pdf script last night using FPDF instead of PDFLib. It’s actually a lot easier to use than PDFLib, it’s completely free, and seems to be about as fast. Since I had to rewrite it anyway, I made the documents a little easier to read by adding separater lines between each family when there are multiple spouses. I also added some hotlinks to some of the fields.
