The Gardenburger lasagna sounds decent though, and a clever idea. I never thought about using gardenburger stuff in other items as a meat substitute.

Salads are an awesome way to lose weight. Last summer, I started my own salad diet. I could eat anything I wanted as long as it was on top of a salad. (And no, not like a t-bone on top of a salad.) I would eat salad for lunch and dinner. Happy hour was exception to the rule and I would just be a bit more selective than I am normally in what I choose to eat. I lost 6 lbs in a month by just doing that, and nothing else different.

Since you're still eating some fish, you should check out some of the recipes on our Seafood Blog: www.seafoodblog.org - I know it's kind of a dumb site but many of the recipes that come in via RSS feed sound pretty good.

		<description>My main goal is to lose weight and get healthier so I'm eating eggs and fish but am limiting both to no more than twice per week.  

Today for breakfast I had a Yoplait non-fat yogurt and a banana.  I usually have a second fruit like an apple between breakfast and lunch but I wan't very hungry this morning so I skipped it.  

For lunch I had a Gardenburger lasanga.  It was awesome, very filling and only 5 grams of fat.  Since I'm trying to stay away from eating out so much I'm usually having some sort of frozen vegetarian meal.  Lots of good choices at Fred Meyers or Wild Oats etc.  I'm sticking with the lower fat ones for now...

Afternoon snack was half a pita and some chipotle hummus.  Usually I have fruit instead, but I went to Wild Oats and the hummus was calling me ;-)

Dinner today was a tomato salad that I made with two nice vine ripened tomatos (quartered), 8 croutons, 4 olive, Newman's vinagrette dressing and about a half cup of cottage cheese.  On the side I had 5 vegatable crackers and 1 oz of Laughing Cow light herb cheese.  

The salad was surprisingly filling.  I chose to eat a salad because I thought I wouldn't be too full to go running, but I'm gonna have to wait a bit now cuz I'm too full.

During the first week my dinners usually consisted of some sort of meat substitute like fake chicken patties or boca burgers, but I've found that many of the vegetable loafs, like okra patties, etc are really good too.</description>
