I reviewed and approved 147 comments in the genealogy section. Another 7 comments were reviewed and hidden, as they contained too much information on living people. I also updated the database based on info from the comments.

I’ve completely neglected these comments for well over a year now. The earliest comment was from May of 2004! I think I’m pretty well burned out on all the genealogy research/correspondence after 15-20 years, but I need to at least keep the comments up to date and respond to questions when I can.

Anyway, it seems like this GTD stuff might be working for me.

Due to the seemingly never ending saga of our bathroom remodel there are 28 pending comments in the genealogy section of the site. Some of you have been waiting as long as two weeks for a reply, so I apologize. I’ll try to clear the backlog over the next day or two.

Dick Eastman, of Eastman’s Online Genealogy Newsletter fame, wrote an article about about my Ged2Csv application last Sunday. I didn’t know that the article was coming out, so I wasn’t prepared for the slew of people purchasing licenses. I haven’t made a public Ged2Csv in a long time, so the number of people purchasing licenses had slowed to a trickle over the last few months. Now that I can see that there is some interest in this software, I will probably implement some of new functionality that I’ve been planning. Expect to see a new version or two some time this year. It’ll have to wait until I get Retrospect-GDS 2.0 out the door first.

Here’s a link to the article:
